Volunteer With Us

No medical background needed — just a caring heart. Make a meaningful difference in someone's life.

Make a Difference

Why Volunteer in Hospice?

Hospice volunteers are an essential part of the care team. They provide something that no medication or medical treatment can — genuine human connection.

Whether you're reading to a patient, holding a hand, giving a family caregiver a few hours of rest, or helping organize a memorial event, your presence makes a profound difference. Volunteers consistently tell us it's one of the most meaningful things they've ever done.

You don't need a medical background. You don't need special skills. All you need is a compassionate heart and a willingness to show up. We provide all the training.

Time commitment: Most volunteers give just 2–4 hours per week on a flexible schedule that works for you. Whether you can volunteer once a week or once a month, every hour matters.

Opportunities

How You Can Help

There's a volunteer role for every personality and schedule.

Patient Companionship

Spend time with patients — reading, talking, playing music, or simply being a comforting presence. Sometimes the greatest gift is knowing someone cares.

Family Respite

Give family caregivers a much-needed break by sitting with their loved one for a few hours. Your presence allows families to rest, run errands, or take care of themselves.

Practical Support

Help with light errands, grocery shopping, meal preparation, or other practical tasks that can make a real difference for families during a difficult time.

Bereavement Support

Assist with memorial services, remembrance events, and grief support mailings. Help families feel connected and supported after their loss.

Office & Administrative

Support our team with clerical tasks, event planning, data entry, and other organizational needs that keep our programs running smoothly.

Community Outreach

Help spread awareness about hospice care at health fairs, community events, and through educational presentations.
